SEL Lead Facilitator
Location
Secondary (Miller MS)
Dates: June 3-27th
Work Schedule: M-Th
Hours: 8:30 am -12:30 pm
Qualifications
- State certification as a teacher
- Must be knowledgeable in Social Emotional Learning practices, to include but not limited to the Character Strong curriculum
- Strong ability to teach emotional regulation strategies and conflict resolution skills
Before Summer School begins:
- Communicate with Summer School teachers regarding the SEL schedule/rotations, including SEL providers
- Order and manage materials
- Communicate with parents as needed
- Create student attendance sheets
- Make plans to help SEL staff access the campus
- Maintain an SEL staff sign in sheet to track hours worked
During Summer School:
- Plan delivery of supplies to Summer School campus
- First planning day-Organize staff meeting; Hand out folders to SEL staff and teachers
- Make sure to collaborate with teachers/nurse to collect medical plans and food allergy information
- Provide support with groups as needed
- Collect attendance daily
- Provide SEL/behavior support where needed
- Turn in time sheets weekly to Office of Academics
- Collect invoices from contracted employees
- Pick-up documents printed to Office of Academics as needed
End of Summer School:
- Collect SEL folders and materials from staff, bring them to Central Office
- Submit final attendance tracking documents to Central Office
Additional Duties:
- Plan/creating a scope and sequence for SEL morning meetings and collaborate with key stakeholders
There are no paid sick or vacation days. All summer school payroll timesheets submitted for dates thru June 2024 will be paid on a special payroll on July 31st. The July 25th regular payroll will NOT include any summer school pay. State and Federal mandated deductions will be taken for income tax and teacher retirement.
Summer School employees must make private arrangements for childcare and may not bring their children to school as a childcare alternative.
