JOB TITLE: Assistant- Attendance/Registrar WAGE/HOUR STATUS: Nonexempt REPORTS TO: Principal COMPENSATION PLAN: CP3 DEPT./SCHOOL: Campus Assigned PRIMARY PURPOSE: Maintain attendance records and perform attendance reporting. Process registration and/or withdrawal of all students. Perform all scheduling and grade reporting functions. QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Certification: High school diploma or GED Special Knowledge/Skills: Clerical/secretarial skills Organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Experience: Two years clerical or secretarial experience preferred MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: 1. Compile attendance reports daily, keep accurate records, and prepare other related reports. 2. Process the registration and scheduling of new students. 3. Process student withdrawals. 4. Maintain permanent records of students. 5. Send and receive transfer student records. 6. Communicate with students and parents in an effort to prevent truancies, unnecessary absences, and tardies. Prepare records for truancy hearings. 7. Process lunch program applications. 8. Compile reports, and maintain all PEIMS materials. 9. Promote positive public relations with staff, students, and community. 10. Assist students, teachers, parents, visitors as needed. 11. Receive incoming calls, take reliable messages, and route to appropriate staff. 12. Comply with all district and local campus routines and regulations. 13. Present a positive image of the school including interest in the education, growth, and development of each child. 14. Maintain confidentiality of all records and information. 15. Post grades and perform related grade reporting tasks. 16. Make home visits as assigned by principal. 17. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
