JOB TITLE: Administrative Assistant WAGE/HOUR STATUS: Nonexempt REPORTS TO: Principal COMPENSATION PLAN: CP2 DEPT./SCHOOL Campus assigned
PRIMARY PURPOSE: Serve as receptionist for the campus office. Provide information and assistance for all visitors, students, faculty and staff. QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Certification: High School Diploma or GED Special Knowledge/Skills: Clerical/secretarial skills Ability to use mufti-line telephone Ability to use personal computer and software to develop spreadsheets, databases, and do word processing Effective organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills Experience: One year clerical or secretarial experience preferred MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: 1. Respond to all incoming calls and route appropriately. 2. Greet all visitors in a courteous and professional manner. 3. Take accurate messages and see that they are delivered to the proper person’s mailbox or classroom, depending on the urgency. 4. Monitor students who come to the office. 5. Assist with general office duties as assigned. 6. Comply with all district and local campus routines and regulations. 7. Promote a positive, professional work environment.
8. Promote positive public relations with all colleagues, parents, students, and community members. 9. Provide clerical support to campus office. 10. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor. EQUIPMENT USED: Personal computer, printer, copier, fax machine, calculator, and other necessary office equipment WORKING CONDITIONS: Mental Demands: Reading, ability to perform basic arithmetic, ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written); maintain emotional control under stress.
